Cover design for the Croatian edition of the Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi
Editor: Marko Šunjić, Fibra • November 2012

Two Marjane's drawings are used to illustrate contrast - happy girl behid the veil as opposite to opressioned gender segregated and unhappy girl. So the book itself has a veil for the reader to unveil.

The pattern used behind the girl and for the endpapers is made from detail in one of Marjane's drawings.

Dust wrapper follows the idea of contrast - with two groups of different women on the flaps.

At the top of the wrapper some scenes from the book are arranged as a sort of summary (religion, war & politics).
These are visible only if you unveil the book, so it is sort of easter egg for the reader.
